Referees for Enrolment

To submit an application for the Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching (Secondary, School-based) you will need to provide us with the contact details of two referees who are not related to you. The referee also can’t be your partner or someone who lives in the same household as you. You will need to provide us with at least one professional referee. Both referees will need to have known you for at least a year. Please provide referees that are from different organisations e.g. avoid providing us with both referees from your high school. The referee could be:

•  A former or current employer who can provide insight into your professional skills and work ethic
• A kaumatua or respected elder from your community
• A religious leader who can speak to your character
• A school principal or teacher who is familiar with your character and abilities
• A close friend who can speak to your personal qualities and strengths
  
  

You will need to provide us with the referee’s name, email address, phone number and state their relationship to you.
